Today marks the one year anniversary of Robbie's tracheoesophageal fistula and esophageal atresia (TEF/EA) surgical repair at Plano Presbyterian NICU. I didn't deliver at Plano Presby, I delivered at Baylor Frisco but my OB discharged me with just enough time to be by Robbie's side after surgery.
I cannot describe the overwhelming emotion Joel and I felt on this day. We were completely unaware and unprepared for what the next few days, weeks and even months would have in store for us.
Here's our little fighter shortly after surgery, I was so happy to see my sweet baby again!
