Robbie was in the hospital 63 days out of 64 days of his life. It's insane to think about it like that.
Tuesday was a much anticipated day with the completion of his antibiotics and getting his Broviac removed. Robbie has an iron deficiency so he got some labs drawn on Wednesday morning just to make sure he didn't need to stick around for another blood transfusion (he's been at critical levels for a few days). Our pediatrician didn't like the numbers she saw from the morning so she ordered for them to be redrawn in the afternoon. They came back much better - I have no idea how 12 hours can make such a difference - so we decided it was safe to finally come home.
We have several follow up appointments in the upcoming weeks and months but Robbie is definitely getting stronger and healthier every day, weighing in at 9 lbs and 8 oz. He also has severe reflux due to his TEF so the hospital ordered us a wedge. It's an interesting sleeping arrangement but it seems to be working because he's sleeping more soundly at night. Hopefully he grows out of the reflux, it's really hard to see him in so much pain.
Thank you for your prayers and support! Please continue to send them our way.
We thank God for all our blessings and our miracle baby! Let the fun at the Oonk's house begin :)
"Yes, Mommy, I'm ready to get outta here!"

Happy homecoming Robbie! Many prayers for continued health and wellness!
